In these photos I often take images I made while on assignment as a photojournalist and then through my own process of self-appropriation I reimagine them. I re-photograph and manipulate the the source image creating another image by drawing, scratching, painting and distressing the source image. Through this multi layered process I am able to create this art, these “photographs” with my hand-made negative.
